wpMyTwitPic is a simple WordPress plugin that will show a Twitter users uploads from the Twitpic service. For those that do not know TwitPic is one of the many sites that allows users to upload a photo and then share it via Twitter (using a short URL).

wpMyTwitPic displays the last images that a Twitter user uploaded to Twitpic on any page in a WordPress blog. The admin panel allows a WordPress admin to set the Twitter username and number of images to show. Once set up any page that contains the tag [ wpMyTwitPic ] (minus the spaces, or you would see the pics here!) will have the relevent number of images shown on it. An example can be found on the “My TwitPics” page of this site.

The code behind wpMyTwitPic is rather simple and is open for anyone to improve, just as long as they attribute it to the source (me!). Currently wpMyTwitPic is rather simple, as it dosn’t need to do anything more than it does. However if you have any requests for changes to it feel free to comment on this page and I will think about it!

You can install wpMyTwitPic from the WordPress plugins menu by searching for “wp_MyTwitPic” or you can download it from here.

  • Version 1.1 was released shortly after the initial release thanks to Saki who pointed out a bug that had found its way in during the initial upload to WordPress’ servers.
  • Version 1.2 was released on 11/12/2010  to tidy up the code and make it run faster.
  • Version 1.3 was released on 12/12/2010 adding extra features to allow you to style the images.

  1. I installed your plugin, activate it, added a twicpic page with the above code and it does nothing. when i go to settings page for your plug in it doesn’t allow me to change the existing user name of “jamesakadamingo”, it gives me this error: “Error: Please enter a valid number for the number of pics.” I read your site and followed the instructions but found no answer.

    • Saki,

Thank you for pointing that out, it seams that when the release was uploaded to wordpress something went a little wrong. I have corrected the version on the WordPress server and it should find it’s way around to the update system shortly.

I have mentioned you in the readme for pointing out the bug!

  6. Great plugin, thanks for your work!!

One suggestion: It would be cool to have more styling options such as image size, different margins etc.

I intend to update the plugin with some more style tweeks as soon as I have the chance. So check back soon!
